Q: What is the best time to visit
A: May/June - Warm and dry with cool evenings - the countryside is at its most beautiful
The abundant foliage and tall grasses make game viewing more of a challenge
July/October - Warm to hot with balmy evenings.Vegetation has died back and conditions are ideal for game sightings
November/December - The weather continues hot but in anticipation of the rains, trees are coming into leaf and many plants are beginning to flower
January/March - This the rainy season and the lodge is closed during this period
Q: How safe is Zimbabwe
A: Crime against tourists is rare in Zimbabwe and in this part of the country it is virtually non existent.
Q: Is Malaria a problem
A: During the dry season the chance of contracting Malaria is very low. However visitors should not neglect to take preventitive medicine - there may be the odd stray mosquito.
Q: Can children be accommodated
A: Young children may find the game walks and drives too taxing. Please discuss this with us before booking if you intend to include children in your party.
Q: How are game drives and game walks organised
A: These are tailored around clients interests. We can take you out for an hour or for a day.
We provide picnic hampers on full day walks or drives and we always keep a supply of cool drinks available. Game walks are limited to 6 persons per guide.
Q: What activities are available in and around the lodge
A: The lodge has its own swimming pool and its own private 4000 acre park which offers a variety of walks and viewing spots. Special sundowners and braais (barbecues) are offered here.
